Cook to appear at Indiana, PA car show

Indiana, PA September 7, 2006 -- Chris Cook, driver for the Christine Marie Motorsports team, will make an appearance on Saturday, Sept. 9th, at the Downtown Indiana Car Show in Indiana, Pa.

Cook will sign autographs and pose for pictures from 4 to 8 p.m., along Philadelphia Street, the main avenue through the Indiana County seat.

Cook's No. 43 VisitPa.com Dodge Charger that he used in last month's NASCAR Busch Series race at Watkins Glen International will also be on hand for fans to see and take photos of.

Cook's appearance comes two days after he competes in the Busch Series race at Richmond International Raceway.

Indiana businessman Chris Evans, who owns the Christine Marie Motorsports team, will also be on hand. He is a native of Indiana, and owns a number of businesses that have flourished in county.

Christine Marie Motorsports, Inc. was founded in 2004 by Chris Evans, a successful western Pennsylvania businessman and amateur racer. Evans met veteran driver Chris Cook while attending the Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving, where Cook was an instructor. The two developed a friendship and later a business relationship that led Evans to form Christine Marie Motorsports, which is named after Evans' youngest daughter, for the purpose of competing in NASCAR with Chris Cook as the driver. The team is based in Indiana, Pa.
