Kentucky Preview: Meijer 300 Next for Christine Marie Motorsports Team

Sparta, KY June 15, 2006 -- Coming off their circle-track debut in the NASCAR Busch Series, Chris Cook and the Christine Marie Motorsports team has taken little time off before gearing up to compete in this weekend’s Meijer 300 at Kentucky Speedway.

Saturday’s race is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m., with live TV coverage on FX.

“We’re coming together as a team,” said Cook, who placed 28th in last week’s Federated Auto Parts 300 at Nashville. “I think from a team perspective, we’re all very happy with what’s going on right now.”

Saturday’s race will be the sixth career Busch Series start for Cook, who teamed up with Chris Evans in 2005 to form the Christine Marie Motorsports team. Prior to this season, Cook had raced exclusively on road courses for the CMM team.

The race will also be the second for the #43 Shift Into Gear Dodge with Mark Durgin as crew chief. Durgin took over duties last week in Nashville when Joe Shear Jr., left to work with Michael Waltrip’s Nextel Cup team.

“We’ll have a very good car this weekend, built specifically for Kentucky,” said Cook. “so I look forward to taking our next big step together. I’m thankful for this chance.”

About Christine Marie Motorsports, Inc. (CMM)
